While the world watches we train freedom to endure.

About Us

Trident Patriots is a non-profit organization founded by Ukrainian-American U.S. Army veteran Benjamin Oue to address the urgent need for medical training in wartime Ukraine. We provide free Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training to both military personnel and civilians, equipping them with life-saving skills.

What began as a personal mission has grown into a mobile team of instructors and volunteers delivering hands-on training across frontline units, villages, schools, and shelters...

Our work is funded by international donors and volunteers. We do not accept donations from individual Ukrainian citizens or the Ukrainian government — though we do welcome grants from the U.S. government and large institutional donors. Our mission is to remain independent, transparent, and committed to serving those in need.

How It Began

Benjamin Oue’s path to founding Trident Patriots is one of resilience, service, and return.

Born in Crimea to a large family of Belarusian and Crimean Tatar heritage, Benjamin endured a childhood marked by hardship and abuse. Separated from his siblings and placed in an orphanage, he learned early how to protect others — starting with his younger brother...

Adopted by an American family, Benjamin faced a new life filled with cultural isolation and personal challenges. At 18, he chose a path of service and joined the U.S. Army. His deployment to Syria shaped not only his tactical skills but also his deep understanding of the value of life and responsibility. When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Benjamin felt a calling to return to his birthplace.

Witnessing the lack of basic life-saving knowledge on the front lines, he completed Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training and began conducting grassroots medical trainings across Ukraine — often alone, with only a translator and a camera. What started as one man’s mission quickly grew. Investing his own resources, Benjamin founded Trident Patriots — a team of dedicated instructors and volunteers working to bring life-saving knowledge to every corner of Ukraine.

FAQ

Can I join Trident Patriots?

Yes — anyone is welcome to join Trident Patriots. We offer opportunities to serve in a variety of roles.

If you’re Ukrainian, you may join our team on missions supporting both soldiers and civilians. Many of our Ukrainian team members are bilingual and assist with translation, which is essential for communication and training. Translators also contribute to media production, website development, and other operational tasks. They often serve within specific departments of our growing organization.

If you’re a foreigner volunteering in Ukraine, you’re also welcome to serve with us for as long as you’re able — provided our schedule aligns with your availability in-country.

We are a team built on collaboration, purpose, and action. If you’re ready to serve, we’d be honored to have you.

How Can I Support Trident Patriots as a Ukrainian?

Ukrainians play a vital role in our mission — and there are many meaningful ways to support our work.

You can help by spreading awareness of our organization and connecting others — both soldiers and civilians — who are eager to learn tactical medicine to protect themselves and those around them.

We also welcome volunteers. Whether by joining us on missions, assisting with translations, or supporting operational tasks, your time and skills are incredibly valuable to our team.

At this time, we do not accept monetary donations from individual Ukrainians, unless it comes from large businesses or individuals with the financial means to contribute significantly. Our priority is to support — not burden — those living through the hardships of war.

Your voice, your time, and your willingness to serve are powerful gifts. Together, we stand stronger.

Who can apply for medical trainings?

Anyone inside Ukraine is welcome to apply for our medical training programs. All trainings are provided free of charge and are open to both civilians and soldiers, with priority given to  soldiers who are defending Ukraine on the front lines.

Trident Patriots is currently focused on reaching smaller towns and rural communities — areas often overlooked by larger organizations. Our goal is to ensure that no one is forgotten, regardless of location.

However, we also serve groups in major cities. If you can gather a group of 10 to 20 Ukrainians in any region of the country, we are ready to come train your community once we resolve basic logistics through our coordination department.

We do not accept any monetary payment for our trainings — ever. Our commitment is to provide support, not to take from those we serve. However, we do welcome practical assistance, such as recommendations for local lodging or team security, when available. That support, when offered voluntarily, helps us continue reaching those who need us most — without compromising our mission.

We are here to train, empower, and stand with Ukraine

What Makes Trident Patriots Different from Other Volunteer Organizations?

Trident Patriots is not watching Ukraine from a distance — we are here, on the ground, and ready to serve.

We are a frontline-focused, action-driven team rooted inside Ukraine. Our mission is simple and unwavering: to provide free tactical medical training to any and all communities — anytime, anywhere. From frontline units to forgotten villages, we go where others won’t.

Our team is made up of both Ukrainians and international volunteers, united by a shared commitment to serve — not profit. We don’t charge for our training. We don’t ask for anything in return. We don’t wait for permission from larger institutions. If a community invites us or allows us in, we will come — fully equipped, fully committed, and fully focused on saving lives.

We exist as a free resource for Ukraine. Our sole priority here is to continually train as many people as possible — soldiers, civilians, anyone — so they can protect themselves and others. No politics. No red tape. Just action, skill, and unwavering support for those fighting for freedom

Is There a Cost for Medical Training?

No — never. Our medical training is 100% free.
We exist to empower Ukrainians, not to profit. Whether you’re a soldier preparing to deploy or a civilian trying to protect your family and neighbors, we will train you at no cost. All we ask is that someone from your group reaches out, organizes 10–20 people, and we’ll handle the rest. We will come to you — wherever you are in Ukraine.

How Can My Community Receive Training?

Just ask. That’s all it takes.
If you’re part of a group, community, or unit — in a village or a city — and you need medical training, reach out to us. Once we confirm basic logistics, our team will travel to you and train your group at no cost.
Our sole mission in Ukraine is to provide free, effective, and life-saving training to as many people as possible. No politics. No fees. Just real help, delivered directly.
